Meet Lucky. Shes our families companion. She is a loving, playful, intellegent and tempermental feline. We found Lucky on Route 23 in Circleville on June 28, 1994. She was around 3-4 weeks old when we found her. In fact if it had not been for the Castle Inn in Circleville we would never have found Lucky. We wanted to see what the Castle Inn looked like and drove down to see it in person to decide if we would be interested in staying there sometime. On our way home Lucky was tumbling underneath a tractor trailer in front of us at about 60 mile per hour. I turned the car around to find Lucky sitting in the median strip of the four lane highway...no broken bones, just a head cold. She came right to us and slept in my wifes lap most of the way home. She was very fortunate. So the next time you are on the road and see a stray animal, stop to see if you can help it. Who knows you may just find your familys next pet.
Some helpful tips on feline care:
Give your cat a little bit of margarine 2 - 3 times a week to lubricate the hair it swallows when cleaning itself. This will lubricate the hair to pass into the liter pan.
Most cats are curious about everything. Very often they develop favorite toys and people. If your cat has a favorite toy with a bell on it then you should take off the bell or put it away when you are not around. This will prevent kitty from swallowing the bell.
Get your cat used to riding in the car. Just taking it out for a ride will help prevent your cat from associating the car with a trip to the vets office and the wonderful serenade that typically accompanies such trips.
